Pipe Mill Operator

NW Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a Pipe Mill Operator for a local employee owned and operated business located in Eugene. This position is required to operate a pipe mill to cut and weld steel into pipe according to customer/client specification using tools and equipment designated for this task. This is a full time- evaluation to hire position.

What we are seeking:

• 1+ year Crane Operation preferred.
• 2+ years’ operating a Mill Machine or Metal Fabrication preferred.
• 1+ year of welding is preferrable.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance on machine and equipment as scheduled.
• Perform quality control following reporting and recordkeeping procedures.
• Follow drawings/blueprints to manufacture pipe to project/client specifications.
• Operate crane to maneuver steel rolls into position on mill.
• Operate a forklift to place finished pipe in the proper storage location as needed.
• The ability to read precision measurement devices including calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
• Perform shop math including decimal to fraction equivalents.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols.
• Must be able to lift to 70lbs. also must be to stand, stoop, bend, sit, push and pull for an 8-hour shift, some overtime is required. You will be lifting, walking, standing, and sitting to a significant degree.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Follow instructions both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Occasional Overtime

Pay: $21/h to $22/h DOE
